1: What will I see on Safari?

There are a lot of things to see and visit during your visit to Uganda. The country is having National Park, museums with different wild and bird life. Every National Park is having its unique animals, vegetations and birds but with Bwindi and Mgahinga National Park the endangered Gorillas are found in Five different groups of which maximum of six people can visit per day.

2: Can I come with my kids?

Please feel at home to come with your children to the safari. Peacock Safaris Ltd has experienced drive guides to take care of you and your children. We will also take you to the hotels that offer a baby sitting. Please be advice because gorilla sometimes change and make some threats, kids under 12 years of age can happen to be frighten.

3: Do I need to take Anti-Malaria?

We are kindly recommending our clients to take their Anti- Malaria tablets before and after visiting Uganda and East Africa in general as Malaria is very common to Africa and other tropical regions. Nowdays most of the hotels and lodges are having mosquito nets to protect you from the mosquito beat.

4: How do I obtain my visa?

5: For how long in advance should I book for Safari?

We recommend at least 6 months before a day you plan to start a safari. However, the earlier the better because this gives use a wide room to book for hotels and lodges in different National Parks in Uganda. Please be adviced to book more earlier in Bwindi and Mgahinga National Park for mountain gorilla tour. Two year before your departure is still okay with us since the limit of 30 tourists per day is minimal compare to other parks.

6: What is weather like in East Africa?

The climate is tropical on the coast, and cool breeze in Great Lakes. October to mid-March is the hottest period and from June to September the coolest. There is light rainfall in November and the rainy season is from mid-March to the end of May.

7: What's the food like on the Safari?

While in safari we will take you to the best hotels and lodges that make western and local style food to suite your appetite. Please inform us in advance if you are a vegetarian so we can be prepared to save you accordingly.

8: What is water like on the safari?

We offer the bottled water for drinking and tooth bushing. We highly recommend our clients to use the tape water for bathing only and bottle water for the above mentioned purpose.

9: Health while with Gorillas

Gorillas are among the fragile creatures and can easily be exposed to human-borne diseases.
