Queen Elizabeth Park
Ruwenzori Park

Derives it name from Queen Elizabeth II of England the park lies in the west of the Uganda covering 2000 square miles and was established in 1954. Queen Elizabeth National Park starts from Lake George to Lake Edward and is known for its wild and bird life.

More that 500 species of birds have been recorded and accommodating wild animals like elephants, leopards, lions, chimpanzees and hippopotamuses. The park is one of the most frequently visited in Uganda.

The vegetation and the landscape of the Park include the Maramagambo Forest and bordered by Kibale and Virunga National parks.

Ruwenzori Mountains National Park is located in the Ruwenzori Mountains and covers 998 square kilometers. Ruwenzori is one of UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for its lakes, Mount Stanley (the third highest mountain in Africa), glaciers and waterfalls.

A variety of large mammals inhabits the lower slopes, but the Rwenzoris are notable more for their magnificent landscape and varied vegetation. The trails lead through

rainforest rattling with monkeys and birds, then tall bamboo forest.

Murchison Falls Conservation Area includes the Murchison waterfalls, Murchison Falls National Park and contiguous Karuma and Bugungu Wildlife Refuge. Situated in the north western Uganda the land stretch to the inland of Lake Albert around the Victoria which is the source of River Nile the one of the longest river in the World.

The park is known for its wildlife in the lush borassus grassland to the north of the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope are regularly come across with.

The natural tropical forest of Africa that is impenetrable and only accessible on foot. As you treks the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to explore the endangered Mountain Gorillas the famous primates in the World located in southwestern along the Democratic Republic of Congo border and next to Virunga Park. The park comprises 331 sq. km of forests and both montane and lowland forest.

The forest is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, providing habitat for mammals, birds, trees, butterflies, geckos and frogs.
