1: What will I see on Safari?
There are a lot of things to see and visit during your visit to Tanzania. The country is having more that 14 National Park with different wild and bird life. Every National Park is having its unique animals, vegetations and birds but with Serengeti National Park and Selous Game Reserve constitute large number of animals.
2: Can I come with my kids?
Please feel at home to come with your children to the safari. Peacock Safaris Ltd has experienced drive guides to take care of you and your children. We will also take you to the hotels that offer a baby sitting.
3: Do I need to take Anti-Malaria?
We are kindly recommending our clients to take their Anti- Malaria tablets before and after visiting Tanzania and East Africa in general as Malaria is very common to Africa and other tropical regions. Nowdays most of the hotels and lodges are having mosquito nets to protect you from the mosquito beat.
4: How do I obtain my visa?
Visas are required for all except citizens of the Commonwealth, Scandinavian countries and the Republic of Ireland. Before departure, you can obtain a visa from the Tanzania Embassy. You can also get your visa at our major entry points such as Airports, Sea ports, and borders.
5: For how long in advance should I book for Safari?
We recommend at least 6 months before a day you plan to start a safari. However, the earlier the better because this gives use a wide room to book for hotels and lodges in Tanzania National Parks.
6: What is weather like in East Africa?
The climate is tropical on the coast, on the Islands and in Selous. It is temperate in the other parks. October to mid-March is the hottest period and from June to September the coolest. There is light rainfall in November and the rainy season is from mid-March to the end of May.
7: What is the Migration?
This is an extraordinary view of the Serengeti Great animal kingdom migration of wildebeests searching for the green pastures and water to Masai Mara in Kenya and back to Serengeti again. The best season of the year to see migration is from December to May in the south of the park and June though October to the west (Western Corridor) and to the north.
8: What's the food like on the Safari?
While in safari we will take you to the best hotels and lodges that make western and local style food to suite your appetite. Please inform us in advance if you are a vegetarian so we can be prepared to save you accordingly.
9: What is water like on the safari?
We offer the bottled water for drinking and tooth bushing. We highly recommend our clients to use the tape water for bathing only and bottle water for the above mentioned purpose. |
