Day 1: On arrival at the airport you will meet our representative waiting for you ready to transfer you Moivaro Coffee Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up in comfortable safari vehicle and drive 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park. Have panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley at Lake Manyara Serena lodge. (You have option of going for walking along Great Rift Valley escarpment after lunch at the lodge, and visit Maasai Bomas,and other local people to experience their ways of life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Full day Lake Manyara national park tour. The park which is nestling at the base of the Great Rift valley escarpment and is noted for its incredible beauty and most famous for tree-climbing lions, underground water forest which provide home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys and many other games like and over 350 bird species. All meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena.
Day 6-8: Early after breakfast drive to famous Serengeti National Park, the park arguably best known wildlife sanctuary in the world and boasts many species of plain animals from hare to the elephant. Game drive en-route with picnic lunch. Following days morning and afternoon game drives tracking the high game concentration zones. As game drives are planned to spend as much time as possible to locate animals, and this could involve long days and picnic meals. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
Day 9: Down game drive. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast proceed with game drive. After hot lunch drive to Ngorongoro crater for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
Day 10-11: Early breakfast then descend into the crater floor of Ngorongoro for full days tour with picnic lunch.
A few words about Ngorongoro crater:
Often described as one of the wonders of the world, it was declared a WORLD HERITAGE SITE in 1978. The worlds largest intact volcanic caldera, it is a natural sanctuary for some of Africa's densest animal populations. Grasslands, swamps, lakes, rivers, mountains and wildlife are all there. The approach road winds up and up through the densely forested outer slopes to Heroes Point where there is a spectacular viewpoint over the 260 square km crater floor lying 600 m below. The Gol Mountains are at the far rim, Lake Magadi in the centre with Seneto springs to the left. Gorigor swamp lies to the right and Lerai Forest in the foreground. Access to the crater is strictly monitored, with only three roads (two of them, one-way) to the crater floor. The authorities rigidly forbid tourists from entering the crater before 07:00 and they must leave before 18:00. It is estimated that there are up to 25,000 large mammals in the 100 square miles of the crater floor so you always see many animals on a game drive. They are mainly grazers but carnivores include a population of about 100 lions and approx. 400 hyenas. Open grassland covers most of the crater floor and this supports large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra. Buffalo, Thompson's and Grantís gazelle, eland, hartebeest and warthog are also common. There are no giraffe, Topi or impala in the crater. Elephant are mainly found in the swamp and there is a population of about 25 black rhino. Hippos are mainly found at Ngoitokitok Springs.There are many birds including flamingo on Lake Magadi. You will find many water birds around the other Lakes and springs with ostriches and the Koori Buzzard the most common. Later ascend and drive to Serena lodgel for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Breakfast then drive to Arusha with picnic lunch via Meserani Snake Park where you will see more than 20 species of snake. Lunch at Snake park. Proceed to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at Moivaro Coffee Lodge.
Day 13: After breakfast at Impala hotel drive one hour to Arusha National Park, The park is situated 32km from Arusha town, is it considered as “a little gem” and consist of three spectacular feature: the Momella likes, Meru crater and Ngurdoto Crater. The park is famous for profuse birds life both migrant and resident, the handsome black and white colobus monkeys inhabit the lush green forest of incident cedar and podocarpus trees. Other animals commonly seen in the park are baboons, elephants, giraffe, buffaloes, hippo, hyena, water buck warthogs, bushpig, reedbuck blue and red duiker. Later at the evening drive back to Arusha dinner and overnight at the Moivaro Coffee lodge.
Day 14: A full day town tour. (You may recommend places of interest to visit). Visit Banana Wine factory and you may have a taste of the wine. Take a visit our internet provider the Arusha Node Marine (www.habari.co.tz). Night at Moivaro Coffee lodge.
Day 15: A visit of local orphans organization(children whose parents have passes away for AIDS etc.), schools, and hospitals in Kilimanjaro, trek to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa “The Roof of Africa”. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha. Overnight at Moivaro Lodge.
Day 16: Breakfast then prepare for transfer to airport for morning flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Zanzibar airport you will meet our representative and transfer to Zanzibar Serena Inn / Tembo house / Dhow Palace in Zanzibar Stone Town for check in. Afternoon stone town tour and thereafter for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Full day old stone town tour where you will see the range of architectural from the 16 th century Portuguese fort of colonials etc. Night at Zanzibar Serena Inn.
Day 18-20: Transfer to north east coast of Zanzibar and check in at Matemwe Bungalows. You will spend 4 nights at the Matemwe Bungalows. Our representative will organize excursion, as this is subject to weather.
Day 21: Transfer to airport for flight to back home.
