The Marangu route is one of the popular climbing routes to Mountain Kilimanjaro. Affectionately known as the “Coca-Cola route”, Marangu has the headquarters of the Kilimanjaro National Park. The alpines benefit the hut accommodation which makes the route to differ from others and can be attempted for 5 days. Our company recommend one day extra for acclimatization. |

6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS - MARANGU ROUTE |
Day 1: 8:00 a.m pick clients from a hotel and drive to Marangu gate then start walk through a thick rain forest which takes four hours to Mandara Hut 2750 m for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast proceed trekking slowly following a path through the forest and then through the savanna bush to Horombo Hut (3,489 m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: This is a day of acclimatization (a rest day) to allow time to explore an interesting area and increase the chance of making to the peak. Return to Horombo for overnight stay.
Day 4: A hard day climb to Kibo Hut 4703 m, 6-7 hours crossing the barren sub-Alpine terrain of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Needed to relax on arrival as the next stage begins shortly after midnight, this falls on day 5.
Day 5: Making a very early start at around 1:00 a.m, follow the zig zag path up the scree, stopping frequently to catch breath in this starlit air. This is the steepest and most demanding section of the climb, takes five hours to Gillmans point (5,681 m). See sunrise behind Mawenzi Illuminating plain. Then walk further 45 minutes around the crater and up to the highest point UHURU peak, the roof of Africa. Thereafter descend to Horombo hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: It is much easier day as you have luxury of walking downhill on the way to the waiting vehicle at Marangu gate for transfer to your Hotel (Arusha / Moshi.) |

| The “Whiskey route” as referred to alpines Machame is probably the most beautiful and one of the hardest to the summit but tourists using it make to the top. The accommodation in Machame is tents only. One can do Machame for minimum of 6 days but we advice one day extra for acclimatization. |

6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS. - MACHAME ROUTE |
Day 1: Pick up clients from a hotel and transfer to the gate and start walking through Mountane forest to Machame hut 3000 m for Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast, start trekking slowly. The path leads up through steep rock, enjoy superb views of Shira Plateau and land below. Also you will see Mt. Meru another exiting volcano on the South western direction. Dinner and overnight at Shira Hut (3840 m).
Day 3: Depart Shira in the morning taking the path which rises up gradually towards the Kibo dome, after reaching the wedge Buttress point the path drop down to the Baranco Hut. Dinner and overnight at Baranco Hut.
Day 4: Leave slowly crossing the floor of the great Baranco Valley and up to the Baranco Valley and up to the Baranco wall, continue the trek on the South Circuit path through the Karanga Valley. (Last water point – Karanga river) then slowly trek to Barafu Hut (4600 m). From Barafu you will have excellent views of Kibo dome and Mawenzi peak. Dinner and overnight Barafu hut.
Day 5: Early mid night start to conquer the highest point in Africa. This section of the route is very steep and is considered the steepest on the non technical path on this mountain between 4 – 7 hours to the peak (5896 m) which is one hours from Stella point (5700 m). Then descend down to Mweka hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: This easy day walking to Mweka gate where the car transfers you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. |

At the village of Rongai the route ascents Kilimanjaro from the northeastern side of the mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya . With unspoiled environment the route offers tents accommodation throughout the hiking to the top with a different view of Kilimanjaro. |

| 6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS - RONGAI ROUTE |
Day 1: After breakfast at the hotel in Arusha or Moshi you get a transfer to Nale Moru village for a trek to the pine forest and montane forest for 5 to 6 hours. Dinner and overnight at the First Cave at about 2600 meters.
Day 2: After the breakfast from First Cave to Kikelewa Cave the trek continues up towards Kibo, passing Second Cave (3450 m) en-route, and reaching Kikelewa Cave at about 3600 meters for a hike of 6 to 7 hours. Dinner and overnight at the Kikelewa cave.
Day 3: After breakfast the trail starts from Kikelewa Cave to Mawenzi Tarn camp about 3 to 4 hours hiking to moorlands with superb view of the wilderness area. Spending the afternoon for explore the area and acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at the Mawenzi camp (4340 m).
Day 4: After breakfast continue ascending on the east side of Kibo crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo Hut. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent, which begins around midnight. Overnight at Kibo Camp 4700 m.
Day 5: After a cup of hot coffee or tea, in the mid night around 23 hours the trek goes to the rocky path to the Hans Meyer Cave (5150 m), then the zigzags up to Gillman's point (5 681 m), another push for an hour or two to the summit (UHURU Peak the highest point in Africa). After taking some pictures then trek down to the Kibo hut for a short rest before further descend to Horombo hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast descend further to Mandara hut and pass the rain forest down to Marangu gate. After a farewell with your porters the drive will transfer you to a hotel in Moshi or Arusha. |

6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS - UMBWE ROUTE |
Day 1: After breakfast a transfer from the hotel in Moshi or Arusha to Umbwe gate passing through the Lyamungo village. The trek takes you to the rain forest about 5 to 6 hours arriving for dinner and overnight at Umbwe cave camp (2850 meters).
Day 2: After breakfast from Umbwe cave to Baranco camp the trek continues through thick rain forests across the heather zone. The trek takes 4 to 5 hours, dinner and overnight at the Baranco campsite 3,950 meters.
Day 3: After breakfast from Baranco continue by crossing a steep rocky ridge known as Baranco wall; continue hiking up and down hills until you arrive at karanga valley, near the Karanga River for dinner and overnight at Karanga camp 4,000 meters.
Day 4: After breakfast from Karanga camp continue with the ups and downs to Mweka route junction. Climb along the steep slopes of the alpine desert to Barafu campsite, 4600 meters, dinner and overnight at Barafu camp.
Day 5: In the mid night after a cup of coffee or tea the trek continue from Barafu camp to UHURU PEAK 5896 meters above the sea level the highest point in Africa and second in the World. After 5 to 6 hrs hike you'll reach STELLA POINT, 5,700 meters, and then continue further for 1-1hour 30 minutes to Uhuru Peak - 5,895 meters, take photograph and then descend, to Barafu for a rest then proceed to Mweka camp - 3,100 meters for your dinner overnight.
Day 6: From Mweka camp to Mweka gate. After breakfast, then descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate-1800 meters. You will meet our drive who will transfer you to the hotel in Arusha or Moshi for a rest. |

Lemosho Route is one of the less used route make it untouched, beautiful to the Shira Plateau. The first day you might be accompanied by armed ranges since Lemosho glades are rich in buffalo, elephant and other big game animals. Accommodation is on tents which will be setup for you by porters in defined safe camping site. |

| 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS - LEMOSHO ROUTE |
Day 1: Early in the morning after breakfast drive from Arusha or Moshi to Londorossi park gate then to Lemosho Glades. Normal park registration and other formalities. Start trekking to the montane forest for three hours to Mti Mkubwa (big tree) campsite (2750 m). Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 2: After the break fast from Mti Mkubwa camp (2750 m) the climb continues crossing the remaining rain forest towards the giant moorland zone. Trek to Shira camp # 1 for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: After break fast from Shira camp # I the trek continues east across the Shira cathedral towards Shira # II camp of which you will only gain 700 feet for the acclimatization purpose. Dinner and overnight at the Shira # II camp.
Day 4: An early breakfast then from Shira # II camp to Baranco passing the lava Tower around the southern side of Kibo about 7 hours to Baranco camp. Dinner and overnight at the Baranco camp.
Day 5: After the heavy breakfast the trek takes you to attempt the Baranco wall and once it's over the ascension becomes easier and extremely beautiful with fantastic views of the crags and crevasses of the jagged peaks on your left. Then you descend to the Karanga Valley. It is advisable to spend an extra day on Karanga Valley for acclimatization. The trek will take to Barafu for dinner and overnight at Barafu Camp.
Day 6: In the might night the trek starts from Barafu Camp to UHURU PEAK, on the steepest and most demanding part of the mountain. The moon will provide enough light, and we'll reach Stella's Point by sunrise, (about 6:00 hours) at dawn, from Kibo saddle still in darkness. An extra hour or two to the Uhuru Peak (The roof of Africa). After taking some pictures you will be descending to Mweka camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: In the morning after Breakfast we walk down from Mweka camp to Mweka Gate-1800 m. A farewell with your porters before been transferred to a hotel in Arusha or Moshi. |

This route is very steep and is only recommended for very fit and capable climbers. Clients could go round the glaciers but sometimes snow covers the entire breach and makes this passage difficult. Climbers choosing this route will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Western Breach including; The Terrace, Northern Glaciers and Fumaroles. |

| THE WESTERN BREACH ROUTE - LONDOROSSI GATE - 9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS |
Day 1: Upon your arrival at the airport, you transfer to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: A day to recover from your long flight- enjoy the interesting city of Arusha and lounge by the pool of the hotel, or optional game drive in near by Arusha national park. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Arusha.
Day 3: We drive to the town of Londorossi where the porters are waiting for our gear. We then enter the gates of Kilimanjaro National park and begin hiking through the lush rainforest. 4-5 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 4: The day's trek begins with a steep hike out of camp through a new type of vegetation and volcanic rock. 6 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 5: We ascend out of Shira camp and Kili will be right in front of us throughout the hike. 4-6 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 6: Wake up to hot tea and breakfast and immediately make our assault on the steep Barranco wall, fondly called it the breakfast climb. 3-4 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 7: After climbing out of the karanga Valley , the trail ascends a ridge to the Barafu Hut, our highest camp yet, at 15500 feet- 3-4 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 8: Rise and shine at 11:30 pm, we begin climbing by starlight, the porters always reminding us to go Pole pole ( slowly slowly ) until we reach Uhuru peak ( Freedom Peak ) at 19,340 feet, the highest point of the continent of Africa . 10-12 hours hiking. B, L, D
Day 9: After breakfast, we hike down the Mweka trail through the rainforest and arrive in the village of Mweka where there are plenty of wood curios, batiks, T-shirts, and souvenirs for sale. You will meet our driver who will transfer you to Arusha for dinner and overnight at the hotel. |
