Kidepo valley National Park is found in the North Eastern Uganda, this is one of the most spectacular parks in Uganda, with an area of 1344 sq.km. The area is inhabited by the Karamojong people perhaps the last truly traditional hunter /pastoralists in Africa. It habours a great number of animal species than other parks. Animals found there are zebra, elephants, giraffe, there are a host of other occasionally sighted residents such as cheetah, wild dog, lesser kudu and ostrich.
Activities include game and scenery viewing, bird watching, hiking, and cultural performance, Kidepo is 810 km from Kampala and can be reached by road and air.
Day 1: Travel to Kidepo by air. Lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the rest camp.
Day 2: All day excursions to the Kananorok Hot Springs – an incredible sport, to date visited by only handful of tourists. Evening “Sundowner” drink overlooking the Narus Valley plains. Dinner and overnight at the rest camp.
Day 3: “ Sunrise ” game drive, breakfast, free afternoon and evening game drive.
Day 4: After breakfast, there will be time for a short bush walk along the Narus River before we depart for Kampala, returning late in the afternoon.
