Cultural tourism involves insight into the modern and traditional life of people, at home at works, at play and at rest. We consider that it is very inviting to tour Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Mikumi and Selous once one is in northern or southern Tanzania. On request we can easily combine these cultural tours to a trip to the traditional tourist attractions of Lake Manyara Arusha, Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks and Ngorongoro crater, and also climbs to Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru.

USAMBARA MOUNTAINS VIEW Usambara Mountains are located northwest of Dar es Salaam and are part of an ancient necklace of mountains called the Eastern Arc which believed to be formed 25 million years ago. The Usambara Mountains are truly hiker's heaven with all the natural beauty imaginable to see and welcoming people to meet. There are roads and good paths leading nearly everywhere, and although much of the walking is at the elevations from 5,000 to 7,000 feet-the climbs are rarely demanding.

NORTHERN PARE MOUNTAINS The north Pare mountains are situated 50 kms. south-east of Moshi. The mountain are reached via the town of Mwanga. From Mwanga, a good sand road winds upward to Usangi and Ugweno, the centre of the northern Pare mountains. Small, local factories produce bricks, stoves, pottery and clothes. Some families make local beer, using traditional brewing methods inherited from their grandfathers. The mountains are among the most fertile in East Africa. High on the mountains are protected natural forests and moorlands which are often sites of traditional forests in the pare culture. In these forests, ceremonies take place and witchdoctors perform sometimes their activities. A walk through Kindoroko Forest reserve, a Natural Forest on top of the mountain. Climbs to different mountain peaks where you have excellent views of Kilimanjaro, Lake Jipe and Nyumba ya Mungu (House of God). Visit to historical relics from the time of tribal war and colonial rule. A View into Pare Culture. Through explanation about various development project in villages, irrigation, soil conservation, afforestation etc.

MONDULI MOUNTAINS AND MAASAI BOMAS the Monduli Mountains lay to the north-west of Arusha town, about 35 km, 1hour drive to the area. The area is inhabited by Maasai tribe. A walk though a forest on the Monduli where an armed ranger will be guiding you. Buffaloes, Elephant can be seen in this forest. Climb to the summit of Monduli Mountain. Enjoy the viewing of Mountain Kilimanjaro and Meru (on a clear day). Descend to Enguik village. A visit to variety Maasai Bomas in this village.

LONGIDO It is situated 100 km north of Arusha on the way to Nairobi. The indigenous in the area are Maasai people. The Maasai are nomad/pastoral tribe and has no permanent place to settle; here and there wondering around looking for greener pastures and water for cattle mostly. Attractions include visit Maasai Bomas, historical German grave, market place visit a bustling colorful cattle market once a week on Wednesday Longido town. Trees and plants used for making food, drinks and Medicines.

MAMBA - MARANGU This area is 30 km northeast of Moshi town at altitude 1800 m, 45 minutes drive from Moshi town. We offer full and half day tour on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. Attractions include water falls, beautiful views, coffee trees (this is the area where the first coffee tree in Tanzania was planted by German Missionaries), caves used during Maasai/ Chagga wars, traditional and modern Chagga art, Culture, and homes see an iron smith at his ancient craft.

IKIDINGA It is located 10 km north of Arusha town, 30 min. drive or 2 hours walking to the starting point. From Arusha Town take the small road north at Ilboru junction on the Nairobi - Moshi road. There are so many things will make you get the feeling of what you knew before. You mix with Wa-arusha, you will eye their culture, then walk through their farms where cash crops are produced, pass through impressive view points overlooking Arusha town while passing canyons, hiking narrow footpaths and trekking some small hills around there. There are super tradition healer for different diseases who will show and explain how to use roots and leaves in treating patients. NGIRESI Ngiresi is situated north-east of mount Meru, 6 km walk or 90 min. from town of Arusha. It can be reached by taxi or private car. The area is inhabited by Wa-arusha and Maasai tribes. Tour involves a visit to mzee Loti's farm and get explanations about the biogas, crossbreeding and soil conservation projects on the farm. A walk to nearby bomas, see various styles of traditional Maasai and Wa-arusha houses. Climbing Lekimana hill, have a good vantage point view over Arusha town and the surrounding maasai plains. On a clear day, Mt. Kilimanjaro is visible. Descend the Lekimana hill on the other side. You back at Mzee Loti's farm. A tour to the catchment forest on the higher slopes of Meru and see the spring which forms the main water source for the village. Visit to a traditional healer at the edge of the forest. Further down a fish nursery is visited in the backyard of a farm.

LAKE EYASI lies about 190 km west of Arusha town and south-west of Ngorongoro crater. Eyasi is a soda (alkaline) lake and the surrounding land is hot and dry, except for a few spots where clear springs, running underground emerge by the lake shore. The area around Lake Yeas is inhabited by the Bushmen (Hadzabe and Tindiga). They are very ancient people believed to have lived here for over 10,000 years. Their language is vaguely similar to that of the Bushmen in southern Africa.
