DAY 1: NAIROBI – MERU

Depart from Nairobi at 7:45 a.m. (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday) to land at Meru at 8:35 a.m. where you will be picked up and driven to the lodge. Game drive in the afternoon in search for the Lesser and Greater Kudus, reticulated giraffes and elephants. The lodge is situated on a hill with a spectacular view on to the plains. DAY 2: MERU

Morning and afternoon game drives along the river and in the open plains. You will visit the hippos, find different monkeys and come across buffaloes. George Adamson had his project to release lions back to the wilderness in this park. D/FB Elsa's Kopje

DAY 3: MERU – SHABA

After climbing the hill to Meru town and passing Isiolo you will reach Shaba for lunch. Lunch at the lodge and game drive in the afternoon. Joy Adamson lived in this unique park. You will find Oryx and Grant gazelles, elephants and gerenuks.

DAY 4: SHABA – SAMBURU

You go for an early game drive to watch the sun rise. After breakfast a short drive to Samburu National Reserve. Lunch and game drive in the later afternoon.

DAY 5: SAMBURU

Morning and afternoon game drives along the dividing Ewaso Ngiro River on the Samburu and Buffalo Springs side.Gerenuks, reticulated giraffes, big groups of elephants, Oryx gazelles and good chances to find cheetahs, leopards and lions. Depending on the water level big crocodiles are basking in the sun. D/FB Samburu Lodge

DAY 6: SAMBURU – NAIROBI

Early morning game drive. After breakfast you will be dropped at the airstrip to get the plane at 10:50 a.m. to Nairobi.
